Hooray!!! We have product. It always takes a little longer than you hope, but the die is stamping out our first order of 10,000 gondolas. I will turn on internet advertising tonight. We already have our first order.
We are attempting to be ready to ship when the product gets here. I have been revising the website every day and think I have everything in order. It seems like there are infinite things to do there.
We are waiting on the die/stamp to be finished. It should be done today, 5/14. Then the printer will have to make sure that they are printin in perfect sync with the stamp.
I finished the instructions this morning. I will print enought of them to cover our first shipments, 100 of each.
The next thing on the list is to complete my research of internet marketing and decide where we will advertise to launch the product. I am not going to turn on the advertising until we have product.
Bio of this adventure
Formed in the days when all humanity was looking for something fun and simple to do at a party, THE GREAT GONDOLA BALLOON RACE is marketed by Fun Balloon Game.com. This company is owned by Reed Roberts and Bob Cole. Reed is the inventor and Bob the tweaker. Reed has so many great ideas they can't all be contained in his head so they come spilling out. This one is turning into piles of fun.
The GREAT GONDOLA BALLOON RACE was invented when the great Roberts clan wanted something new to do at their family reunions. Reed, who is very creative, and always trying to create something new or make something worthless into a valuable, figured out how to attach a paper gondola to a helium filled balloon. Then he tinkered with it until he found out how to maneuver it rapidly. He is still the champion of the Roberts Family where the game is played at every Easter picnic.
Reed told a few people about his invention, and his brother played it with his Cub Scout Den. Reed helped a single adult group play it. Everyone had a riot, young and old, but no one ever figured out how to make it a marketing reality.
Bob Cole has been a friend of the Roberts Family, and Reed for several years. He did some internet research and decided that this would be a good game to sell. He worked with Reed to figure out the production and documentation details, developed the website and a marketing plan, and started off.
